03D COLD EMAIL · US CLIENTS · COMPLIANT

Cold email that books calls.

Not a sequence tool, not a spray list — a two-sentence email to one specific person with one specific problem, plus a cadence and the US compliance rules. Written for freelancers in Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya selling to US companies. Copy, adapt, send.

The anatomy, then the numbers.

Template 1 (problem): "Saw [specific trigger] — teams using [X] usually lose [time/money] to [specific leak]. We cut that by [proof number]. Worth 15 minutes this week?" Template 2 (proof): "Noticed [company] is hiring [role] — [observation showing you know their stack]. [Peer-type result] in 30 days for a similar team. Open to a look?" Replace every bracket or do not send. Personalization at scale is still personalization.

Compliance, cadence, and the Africa question.

CAN-SPAM applies to you because your recipient is in the US: every cold email needs a physical mailing address and a working opt-out; honor opt-outs promptly. Use a proper sending domain (your own, warmed — not freemail) with SPF/DKIM configured. This is boring infrastructure that determines whether your email is inbox or spam folder — the Kit's email setup covers it.

The cadence: touch 1 (the template above) → wait 4-5 days → touch 2 adds one asset (a relevant teardown, benchmark, one-paragraph diagnosis) → wait 7-8 days → touch 3 closes the loop ("not a fit — who owns this at your company?"). Three value-adds, zero "just bumping this". Track sends-reply-rate in a sheet; a 2-5% reply rate on warm-targeted cold is normal, and the numbers only improve with targeting quality.

"From Africa" handling: do not lead with geography, do not apologize for it. Lead with their problem and your proof. When the call comes, timezone overlap is the only logistics item — offer two windows inside US business hours (your evening is their morning; make it easy). If trust friction appears later, the bias-proof stack handles it: contracts, US-hour calendar, proof artifacts, clean USD invoicing (template).

Scripts, invoice, contract — one pack.

The Kit contains the full cold-email sequence (with follow-ups), the USD invoice, the contract, and the rate card. $19 founding through Dec 31. Refuse bad fits with our 14-day refund.

Questions.

Is cold email legal when sending from Africa to US prospects?

Yes — the law follows the recipient. CAN-SPAM (US) requires a valid physical address, honest headers, and a working opt-out; honor it promptly. No purchased list scraping of personal data (that raises GDPR/local issues). Send relevant, targeted, compliant mail.

What reply rate should I expect from cold email?

2-5% reply rate is normal for well-targeted cold from freelancers; booked-call rate runs lower (1-2%). Targeting quality moves these numbers more than copy polish — 40 right people beats 400 random ones.

Should I mention that I am in Ghana, Nigeria or Kenya in the first email?

No. Lead with their problem and your proof — geography comes up naturally at scheduling (timezone offer) or on the call. Leading with location invites bias before you have earned attention with relevance.

How many emails can I send per day without hurting deliverability?

New domains: start low (20-30/day), warm up over 2-3 weeks, keep volume stable — spikes trigger filters. Separate cold volume from client/transactional mail. Configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC. Consistency beats volume.
